A perfect holiday!
Our stay with Margaret and Luigi was perfect! We got our slice of the rainforest, beach, and Reef, and even had two days of dolphin encounters. My partner and I are marine biologists and have traveled the pacific and Caribbean studying corals and we were absolutely blown away by the corals in Natawa Bay. We also couldn't believe the spinner dolphin population the LDV (La Dolce Vita) will bring you to see. They know the times when they feed and very often have the entire pod of about 100 playing with the boat. LDV does not feed the dolphins out of respect for nature, which we very much appreciated and it made the whole experience that much more special! As for the rainforest, you can hike to the highest peak in the area (on the property) and get views or the salt lake, natawa bay, and the big blue. Truly breathtaking!

The resort itself is a labor of love and it shows. Luigi and Margaret have a true vision for LDV and are always coming up with new ideas. There attention to detail leaves you in great hands on your holiday. Out front is even a lagoon where you can bounce on the trampoline or play on the hamster wheel... I wasn't so graceful haha. The rooms are unique as well. They're open and make you feel like you're living where the rainforest meets the sea!

Enjoy!

A week in paradise
Of all our stays during our Fiji vacation, this was the best! Margaret and Luigi have beautifully repaired the small and quaint resort after the cyclone Winston (2016). We had the honor of the resort being reopened with us. We stayed in the perfect two bedroom villa Firenze with mesmerising seaviews.
What we loved: the warm welcome at the Savusavu airport followed by a tour of Savusavu; all the delicious meals - every time a different highlight; stimulating conversation with our hosts during the aperitifs and meals; openness and friendliness of ALL staff; the enormous seawater pool with the aqua-toys; walking on the reef and strolling to the island at low tide; hiking up the property for great views; the dolphin, wale, and snorkelling tour in the bay; the traditional kava tasting with excellent musicians ..... basically everything!!

A relaxing and unique experience of Fiji
Relaxation hits from the minute you arrive. This wonderful paradise provides the opportunity to enjoy Fiji in your own style.

Owners Lui and Margaret have adapted modern conveniences into Fiji and made this such a wonderful holiday by individually customising our experience arranging anything that we wanted to do or see.

Lots of activities for the family, the two of us or just on my own. Snorkelling, canoeing, golfing, swimming at the pool, bush walks, fishing, dolphins, the games room (pool, chess, darts, soccer table, air hockey) trips into town for some shopping, and the historical red prawn walk. A highlight was the visit to the school and the community village and a visit from a local dance group with traditional dancing. The kids were able to take traditional dance lessons from one of the local Fiji girls (thanks Artella) and every evening they rehearsed which culminated in a dance show for the fijian dance group that visited.
I had an amazing massage the 3rd day there, and it was so good i got another one. The kids were also very happy that they could get their hair braided.

Incredible fresh and high quality food is served by chef Michelle and waitress Trina in a plethora of eating areas such as the serene area at "Inspiration point", the teppanyaki bar and the new recreation hall. There was not one bit of food that was not simply amazing in taste. Desserts to die for! I have never experienced this level of cooking anywhere in my lifetime. It is also unique in a 3rd world area to have fresh and safe drinking water on tap. Very impressed that Lui has tapped into the natural underground springs to supply the resort and local community with fresh natural spring water.

The accommodation is excellent and the private villas are set overlooking the beauty of the ocean. The sunrise in the morning was magnificent and well worth rising earlier each day to see. Getting up early was no issue as there is so many places you can sneak off to for a quite relaxing snooze at any time during the day.

All the staff are very friendly and happy and provide everything you need.

There is internet available for those that still need to connect, but to be honest it was great just enjoying La Dolce Vita's experience and forgetting about work and everything else.

Overall it was a truly amazing place where we all had a truly relaxing and happy time and i have returned home refreshed and revitalised.
I would 100% recommend La Dole Vita Holiday Villas for a unique relaxing experience.

Afternoon retreat
Well blow me down they don't call Savusavu the "hidden paradise" for no reason! But extremely more of a hidden paradise is La Dolce Vita! We've lived in Savusavu for over 18 months and just today had our first visit here. The place is truly amazing, although we were only there for an afternoon it would definitely be one of my top picks for accommodation in Savusavu. Wood fired pizza, wine and sitting by the pool watching the kids (and under a wonderful big shade cloth) was great! This is one place I would certainly recommend for all family/friends and readers to visit or better still stay at.

Wonderful stay
This was our first stay here and will now be the first of many , we LOVED everything , the location , privacy, things to do , were many .
The food prepared and cooked by Michel was delicious
And last but the best , was the hospitality and welcome from loui and Margaret
Many friendly conversations and much laughter , over meals and happy hour drinks at the bar
All I can say is , perfect come and enjoy.

Our piece of paradise :)
This place is special.... we'll always remember our time in La Dolce Vita :) the room was beautiful and the location amazing. A beautiful breakfast every morning and a lovely nap on the water in the afternoon! He also gave us some lovely cold coconut juice which was awesome :) Vinaka!

Beautiful 100% amazing
Margaret & Luigi have created a fabulous place in paradise. The bures are complete luxury. Our 15 year old son said his queen size bed was the best bed hes ever slept in... The sound of the waves breaking on the coral reef at night is a lovely sound to dirt off to sleep , waking up in the morning to the spectacular view.. fresh coconut water fresh fruit what more does one want on holiday ? We will definitely be going back to La Dolcie Vita.Thank you for your kindness & caring Margaret you made a young boys holiday a lfe time memory.

Beautiful Place, Beautiful People. Just Spectacular
Forget Denerau, If you want to experience some real and personal Fijian hospitality this is the place for you. This is the complete opposite of a chain hotel/denerau experience, offering excellent value being full board.

The villas are spacious, clean and well finished. You have amazing views from your bed. The food is worth every cent of a full board stay. Michelle prepares mouth watering home cooked meals and you will never go hungry. Michelle expresses herself with her cooking something you don't find anymore from a busy hotel restaurant meal. 5 star food!!

We all agreed this was by far the best food we experienced on this visit to Fiji. (we stayed at 2 other hotels on Viti Levu)

You feel like the staff are an extension of the owners Margaret and Luigi. The hospitality is personal, friendly and sincere. Margaret was accommodating from booking to departure. Having traveled the world she is one of the best I have come across. I dear say she is one of a few setting the standard in Fiji

The entire site is a spectacle of beauty by design, for us the lagoon and gardens were a highlight. We really enjoyed the fact that it was only a 5 room location and we were not surrounded by scores of other tourists.

We were four adults and 2 kids ( 4yrs and 8 Months) and this was perfect for them to be free and play. The staff were so so helpful with our baby walking him while the rest of the family enjoyed a meal.

Then there is the ocean..it is simply spectacular!! If you enjoy the sound of the ocean to put you to sleep this place ticks that box also.

Vinaka to Margaret, Luigi and the team. See you again soon.

Absolutely Beautiful!
We had a wonderful and relaxing stay and even with kids. Margaret and Luigi were very hospitable and took care of everything. The baby got looked after by the beautiful staff which allowed me to enjoy the wonderful meals prepared. The "Fijian Night" was fantastic and had a really good time meeting Luigi and Margaret's friends. Our daughter learned to Kayak for the first time here on their lovely Lagoon. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience and we look forward to returning sometime soon.

By far the best place in Savusavu !!
We had the time of our life here. It was a family planned get away and what a perfect one! The pools are shaded & boosts a kid sized pool wait for for as young as one year old ! And kids enjoy themselves without being exposed too much to the UV rays. The owner Margaret takes care of every needs. Their pizza is great. There is a serenity to this place. Awakened by birds with the ocean literally at your door step. Amazing.

Total relaxation
Our stay at La Dolce Vita Holiday Villas was hands down the best holiday experience for my family and I. Total relaxation, beautiful scenery, wonderful food at every meal, we are already looking forward to our next trip there. Our family enjoyed every moment from the snorkelling in Natewa Bay, amazing food, trying out the inflatable waterslide in the bay and body massages. The worst part is leaving!

Family birthday celebration
Our family of 8 just spent the most amazing 4 days at this small boutique resort on Fiji's hibiscus coast. Total relaxation, friendly service, great snorkelling and excellent food were the order of the day and nothing was too hard for hosts Margaret & Luigi. We would definitely love a return visit!

Fantastic Fijian hospitality!
We've know Luigi & Margaret for years and love driving up the Hibiscus Hwy to enjoy a day at their lovely resort! Their villas are very nicely appointed but the highlight is their wonderful meals and the fun in their beautiful pool, snorkeling in the warm lagoon as well as going out in Natewa Bay to see the pod of spinner dolphins! As we live in Savusavu, we always take our guests up to Luigi & Margaret's for the homemade pizza lunch with salad grown in their garden or splurge on their teppanyaki grill for dinner. It's always a fun day out and just one of those special little spots we have here in Savusavu!
